Water Quality Lab

Tri-City Service District

The Tri-City Water Quality Lab performs hundreds of tests per month on samples collected from the wastewater treatment plant to ensure that the treated water discharged into the Willamette River meet all requirements for environmental safety.

Many tests are performed on samples taken from various stages of the treatment process, to provide feedback to operators regarding the efficiency of each stage, converting raw sewage to a high quality effluent that can be safely discharged to the environment.

The Lab provides the following services:

  • General Chemistry Analyses
  • Industrial Pre-Treatment Program
  • Source Control Program
  • In-stream Monitoring
  • Biosolids Monitoring
  • Fee based Services to Regional Partners

Although our lab is not open to the public, we provide tours to schools and universities for educational purposes.  If you would like more information, or would like to schedule a tour please click here.
