Energy Production and Reuse

 One of the products of the wastewater treatment process is methane gas (biogas). Tri-City uses this biogas to produce electricity and heat for various plant processes.

WES is evaluating technologies to enhance the recovery and utilization of biogas to reduce energy costs and minimize the carbon footprint of the plant.
